"An accessible rehabilitation center designed around dignity, clarity, and a clear path to recovery."
Centro de Rehabilitación e Integración Social | DIF - State of Mexico Healthcare Institutional
Architectural design for the CRIS facility, a regional center providing integral rehabilitation and social integration services for people with disabilities under DIF Huixquilucan. The project supports a clear patient journey from specialized evaluation through functional diagnosis, therapy, and community reintegration, housing medical assessment areas, therapy and treatment spaces, psychological and social work offices, and pedagogical and inclusion areas under one accessible, multidisciplinary roof.
Design priorities centered on accessibility and ease of movement for patients with reduced mobility, including ramped access, wide covered corridors connecting program areas, and clear wayfinding between reception, clinical, and therapeutic zones. The result is a facility that reads as welcoming and orderly from the first visit, reinforcing the institution's commitment to dignity and continuity of care.
